In-House Program: Minimum age is 4-years old

Travel Program: Minimum age is 9-years old

Both programs run from Fall to Spring so the birth year of the player is utilized to determine eligibility and assigned age group.

Required:

• Game day shirts (provided by CVSA)
• Shin Guards
• Soccer Cleats
• Appropriate size soccer ball
  • U6, U8 - Size 3
  • U10, U11, U12 - Size 4
  • U13 & up - Size 5
• Water bottle

Other items to consider:

• Ball pump
• Headband/hair tie for long hair
• Back-pack for all items
• Sandal or change of shoes (limit that dirt in your car!)

Yes, there are occasions where CVSA and/or your team's coach must cancel practice and or game.  Notification will be sent via TeamSnap and updated on the website.  Some reasons for cancellation:

• Thunder, lightning
• Unsafe field conditions
• Not enough players to field a team (we ask players to provide their availability via TeamSnap ahead of the game)
• Opposing team cancellation   

CVSA does participate in a winter FUTSAL league for certain age groups. Please speak with your coach, if interested.

• Travel is generally more competitive and requires a higher skill level.
• In-house practices once per week, while Travel teams practice 2 or more times per week
• In-house games are played on Sunday mornings, while Travel games are played on Saturdays
• Age limits differ
  • In-house starts at U6 (Under 6 years old); 4 years old is when you can begin In-House play
  • Travel starts at U10 (Under 10 years old); 9 years old is when you can begin Travel play

Yes, a player can participate in both programs simultaneously.

No.  The CVSA Travel Program is open to all players that meet the minimum age requirements.

Not necessarily. To field a team, there must be enough interested players and qualified coaches.

Yes, as long as the following criteria are met:

• Enough players trying out to form two teams.
• Qualified coaches for both teams.

They will vary greatly depending on division, and age group, however, most games are in the local Pittsburgh area.  South Fayette, Mt. Lebanon and out to Wheeling, WV.  CVSA Travel also participates in the PA West Open tournament at Edinboro University. 

No. The registration fee covers both In-House and Travel programs; however, there is an additional Uniform fee for the Travel league.

Yes!  Travel games are played on Sunday, while all Cup League games are played on Saturdays.
